LEAVING ON A JET PLANE

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE
BUT KNOW WHEN I'LL BE BACK HOME AGAIN!

Tomorrow, I'm off to Belleville, Ontario to visit with my daughters and family as well as friends I love.

So, to those faithful readers, such as Dianne C. who says she can't sleep at night without her reading my blog, it has just occurred to me that it's my blog that puts her to sleep! It's that boring to her, she goes out like a light!! Geez Dianne, I never thought of it that way before!! This is better then a sleeping pill!

Anyway, this is my last blog (another holiday) until Sept. 24Th or 25Th, depending on how tired I am after getting home.
Then, I'll have some good stories to tell you about. That I can guarantee!!! Going home is always a blast, and so much fun! I have this really weird fun family that loves to laugh and have a good time. My friends are the greatest, and our mouths will all be going at once to get caught up on news.

We are going to the cottage at Scootamatta Lake, so hopefully will get some sunshine, so we can relax on the beach and recuperate from all our packing and unpacking this last month. AWW poor me eh? Then, we are off to St. Catharines to visit my brother and family and my Aunts, Uncles, nephew and a whole lot more great friends.

I know of at least two parties going on, I may have to do some snoozing the next day!!!

Tom is staying home to look after the cats, (our own and the cat downstairs), and doesn't feel he can keep with all the visiting.

So...see you when I get back!!

Ontario...watch out, my sister Roxanne are on the loose!!

WHAT DO CATS DO WHEN HOME ALONE

What do our little feline friends do when left alone? I worry about that! Do they sleep all day, climb all over the furniture, think of ways to get revenge, by throwing up hair balls all over the white rug, which is much more effective if he's eaten some wet cat food first. It makes a much nice stain!

I know my cat takes out all his toys and has them scattered all across the floor, however, I'm sure it's the catnip I put in his stuffed toys that leave him in a stoned stage all day. Anything as long as he's happy!

He spends much of his time grooming himself, that's for sure!! He leaves much proof of having been on my good bed spread, and I think he grooms in that spot on purpose! Another little revenge!!

Who know's what they do, but it tears my heart out everytime I have to leave my cat alone for days. Of course, he has someone come in and feed, water and clean up his litter box.
At the moment, we happen to be babysitting the ladies cat downstairs who has gone away for a much needed holiday, and when I go up, this sweet, very lonely ball of fluff, greets me at the door with the most pathetic, sad sounding, soft little meow. I can see his look of disappointment when he see's it's not his mom, it's only that lady again that feeds me then leaves me again.

I hold him and stroke his soft fur, and he rubs his little head against me, as if to say "please don't leave me". Once he's been fed, watered and has his needs met, I can barely bring myself to leave him, as he seems to plead with me with his soft little sad voice.

Then I come back upstairs to our own place and before I open the door, I can hear my cat, actually howling and crying because I've gone. We just came back after being away for 14 days, so he's petrified I'm going to leave him again.
And I am!! I'm leaving on Wednesday for two weeks in Ontario. Seeing suitcases out and getting packed, he begins following me everywhere and me tripping over him every time I turn around. Thank goodness my husband will be here, so I'm sure when I return, I will no longer be his favourite person any longer.

I brought my cat up there to see if the two of them would get along. My cat is a possesive little bully, and hissed and put his back way up in the air! I should have known!! The other little cat, just lost his mate a few months ago and was quite happy to see my cat, until mine scared him so bad, he hid behind a chair.

That ended that!!\Well, there's not much we can do, we all have life's to lead. So, I leave the radio on his favourite station, leave a light on, hope his sitter gives him some loving attention and hope he's not too angry with us when we return.

Not an interesting blog tonight, but I'm outta energy with washing, ironing, packing and doing all the things you already know about to get ready to go away and try to pack as light as I can!! Damn airline regulations!!

One more blog and then I'm gonzo!!

Sleep tight!!

TIME TO PARTY AND HALFWAY TO ST. PAT'S DAY

HALF-WAY TO ST. PATRICK'S DAY
Does everyone out there realize that Saturday, September 13Th is Half-Way to St. Patrick's Day??? If you have strong Irish blood in you like I do, this will be of great importance to you, as we Irish, are known to like to party!! Seeing as I'm coming home to visit my family and if that's not a good enough reason to let my hair down, then celebrating the 1/2 way to St. Pat's Day, most certainly is!!

I'm sitting here where I've sat, practically since being home from Alaska, just playing around....well "working" on my trusty computer and thinking of stories from our trip to entertain you. Meanwhile, I'm wiping my snotty nose, catching the odd sneeze and feeling rather like a sack of potato's...whatever that feels like! But having a cold is no fun thing! They say the cure is rest, so that's what I've been doing, while the mess accumulates all around me. Today, though, I've begun to come around, and actually did some work, and baking for Tom, so that when I'm off laughing and enjoying my family and friends back home, he sits eating cookies and looking after our cat and the ladies cat downstairs from us as well. My poor husband, has to cook his own meals and make his own bed, which isn't fun, especially after getting off a cruise where all we had to do was shove food into our mouths and wile away the time.

Oops, since I started to write this, and remembered the cookies in the oven, they had gone from golden brown and edible to extremely dark and the next thing to being called burnt and just a tad away from inedible!! I better pay better attention to this batch I just put in!!

Last Monday, one day after stepping away from the food line, we went with Dianne and Bill to this really fantastic restaurant called Dublin Crossing. What a wonderful restaurant with delicious mouth watering food, and hearty portions. Visit the site at http://www.dublincrossing.com/ It's a fun site as well.

It's just like being in Ireland!! What memories! I guess why I'm on this Irish kick, the flyer is on the floor beside me where I dropped it since Monday! I really do need to clean up. So, my blog is short, for good reason. I dare not burn this batch of cookies and I do need to get some work done, or I'll arrive in Belleville with a suitcase of dirty clothes!

Until tomorrow, when I give you my progress of getting ready to fly away on Wed. Will I be ready!!! Ahhhh the excitement and intrigue grows.
