"I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be.
Last night Tom and I went to see “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button!. It’s a long movie!! Tom hated it, I was enthralled with it.
Such a strange concept to get your head around, and a very different movie, and one you keep thinking about after you leave the movie theater. At first, I wasn’t sure what to think about it at first, but yeah…..I liked it!!
After the movie we went to a little German restaurant in North Vancouver and had delicious Jaegle snitzel,(probably spelled that wrong) potatoes and red cabbage. Mmmm good!! Then drove home on a very dark and rainy night, that was difficult to see, because the last place we got gas, must have used a cloth with some oil in it to clean our windows.
Today, we are soon heading out to pick up the new book by Wally Lamb, that I’ve had on hold at the Library for eons!! Finally, it’s my turn, and if it’s like her past books, I’m going to enjoy it!!
I loved all these books! I recently brought home Stephen Kings new book, but taste’s of reading material certainly change over the years! Couldn’t even finish it!!
I guess, I better update my book list on here, if anyone is interested in them anyway!
Well, I’ve played with this new site enough for today, and finding out more about it. But for now, I’m saying ta ta, because I don’t have anything else to write about, and I know you must all be sick of looking at the South America/Antarctica pictures, so I’ll give that a rest. Time to go out picture taking again!!
See you soon!!!
Found one you haven’t seen!!
