These are some picture I put into a collage from yesterdays Remembrance Day Service. It was a beautiful, but nippy day, but for once without rain! I’m not sure, but hopefully once I publish this, you will be able to click on the small pictures to enlarge them.

The snow on the mountain is here to stay I think. What a beautiful sight. We look at this out our dining room patio door. Can’t get a better view!!
Last night we had pelting down rain and very high winds. I still don’t have the umbrella and cushions put away from the summer furniture on the deck, but did go out to check if things hadn’t blown away. Just a few flower pots and baskets and the odd thing blown down but not over the deck! The weather really has turned cold and I bought myself a new warm hat for walking, that actually fits my small head and paid for it, tore off the tag and wore it home, I was so cold!
I had a chuckle at this dog yesterday after people left the service. The road hadn’t been open to traffic yet, but this dog seemed to love having the road all to himself for probably the first time ever. His owner kept calling him and the dog would stand up, and plunk himself right back down again. I went over to pet him, and was so sorry I did! What a beautiful and friendly but very stinky animal. It took much soap and scrubbing to get the smell off my hands when I got home.
As most of you likely know, I’ve been into searching for both sides of our family tree, and have mentioned it several times on here, and you will be reading more of it for awhile. I’ve found it is a great tool to find family history, and the other day, I came across a blog site for ancestry with great information on the whole site, that is extremely helpful. I want to mention this site on here, because I’ve been fortunate to be added to theirs. This is the letter I received and their site. It has scads of other information on it as well, so go have a visit! Tomorrow, I’ll have lot’s of queries out there, looking for family!

Update on Tom: Stitches have been removed and the pain now is surgery pain and to be expected, and not that agonizing pain that had him throwing up. My poor husband has had one horrible year and is looking forward to the end of 2009! This wonderful man bought me a box of my favourite chocolate’s today!! How wonderful is that….even if I sure don’t need them!!
Better days ahead!!!
Welcome to the Geneabloggers family. Hope you find the association fruitful; I sure do. I'm fairly new, as well, and have found it most stimulating, especially the Daily Themes.
ReplyDeleteLove the snow on the mountains photos! Thanks for sharing. My oldest daughter and her husband have a new home on Boulder Mountain, in Utah... snowing there, too! ;-)
Keeping telling your ancestor stories!
