AMBLESIDE,DUNDERAVE,VANCOUVER, AND HOME

P1060101

This morning we woke early and had our coffee on the deck, as my hair dried in the sunshine. We donned our runner’s, and headed out to Dunderave along the sea wall. From there, we got on a bus, and rode into Vancouver, where we had breakfast, and then took the Sky Train, to the Waterfront. From there, we took the Sea Bus to North Vancouver, got on another bus to Park Royal, which is about one km. from home. Then we walked home!

It was a terrific walk and Tom did wonderful, and is feeling like the Tom before all his health problems began! It’s great to have him back again!

This is about where the sea wall begins.

This is taken from the walkway to the Sea Bus. This is also the "SAILS" or Canada Place, that we can see from our bedroom deck. One of the many cruise ships that will be sailing to Alaska tonight. Hmmm, wish we were heading to it instead!

P1060093Looking the opposite direction on the walkway, we cross the railway lines that head East. I’m trying to talk Tom into a cross Canada train trip to Belleville, visit family, onward to Montreal, and Cruise to New York and fly home. I’m dreaming again I think!

Hey!! Ian Hanomansing on the Sea Bus. Ian does the CBC evening news across Canada. He’s sure handsome!!

A nice ride on the Sea Bus to the North Shore. Much prettier in the Winter with snow on the mountains!

That’s our day which was wonderful!! It’s now nearly supper time, and my thoughts are on what to have. I just know what side dish we are having which is garlic sautéed Spinach. No idea what the main dish is yet, so better go drum up something!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Our forecast is for HOT weather. Our gas by the way is 111.9 a Litre in case anyone is interested.

  2. Hello Linda. What I like about your blog is looking at the pictures you took while you were travelling. Im afraid that I don't have the luxury to to that, I am pretty busy with my job and there's also the budget to consider. Take care always!
